With its new Armada NISMO and upgraded PRO-4X trims, Nissan’s 2026 Armada portfolio is causing a stir by fusing toughness with a motorsports bent.
A Full-Size SUV with Genuine Performance DNA: The First-Ever NISMO Armada
The first-ever NISMO-tuned Armada, the 2026 Armada NISMO brings Nissan’s racing legacy to its largest SUV and will be on display in North American stores by fall 2025. When using premium petrol, the NISMO variant’s retuned twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine produces a powerful 460 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, a substantial 35 horsepower increase over the normal model. Exhaust that flows more freely, carefully adjusted valve clearances, and improved engine programming are the reasons for the power boost.
Nissan engineers adjusted the adaptive electronic air suspension and electric power steering to support the increased power, providing improved responsiveness and sharper handling. Additionally, grip and composure are further improved with high-performance all-season tires mounted on 22-inch forged alloy wheels. However, it still has the utility of the Armada, including three rows, seating for up to seven people (depending on configuration), and an 8,500-lb towing capacity.
Exterior Aggressive Styling
The Armada NISMO boasts a performance-inspired exterior design. In addition to the special Black Diamond Pearl and Everest White Pearl Tricoat options, expect a blacked-out grille, modified NISMO front and rear bumpers, side skirts, fender flares, rear diffuser, spoiler, and distinctive Stealth Gray color schemes—some with a contrasting black roof.
A powerful road presence is produced by adding red accents, LED fog lights, and red-painted brake calipers to complete the visual makeover.
A Cabin Designed for Excitation
Performance design characteristics like as ambient lighting, aluminum pedals, red stitching, quilted two-tone charcoal leather and red accents, and a red stripe on the steering wheel all carry over the NISMO theme inside. Support is guaranteed during aggressive driving thanks to movable bolsters in the front seats.
With two 14.3-inch screens available, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ProPILOT Assist 2.1, and a 12-speaker Klipsch premium audio system, the tech features are still sophisticated.
PRO 4X: More Tough Than Before
The PRO‑4X trim is still the tough option for adventurers, and it now offers second-row captain’s chairs as an optional extra for comfort.
It is ready for the trail right out of the factory thanks to its all-terrain tires, locking rear differential, skid plates, adaptive electronic air suspension, and strong off-roading angles (approach, breakover, and departure) as well as a high ground clearance. Features like special 20-inch wheels, fender flares, and Lava Red highlights enhance its tough appearance.
Cost and Availability
In the fall of 2025, the 2026 Armada NISMO will be available to American dealers. With a starting MSRP of about $79,530, it is more expensive than the PRO‑4X ($74,300) but less expensive than the Platinum Reserve ($80,550).
Destination fees add $2,190 to the overall price of the Armada collection, which starts at $58,840 for SV and goes up to $80,550 for Platinum Reserve.
